2016 Merlot 'Heritage Series' (Wine Club Exclusive Wine)

This is the second vintage of our ‘Heritage Series’ Merlot, as we only produce this wine in the best of vintages. Cooler temperatures during harvest allowed for additional hang time which led to increased ripeness and flavor development. This Merot offers primary aromas and flavors of black cherry, cassis and plum. Notes of vanilla and caramel are also present as a result of barrel aging for 13 months. Enjoyable now or through the next decade. Only 168 cases produced.

Food pairing suggestion:
Cherry-Glazed Pan-Seared Lamb Chops

2015 Syrah

The 2015 vintage was one of the warmest record for Washington state. This consistant temperature made for excellent growing conditions, especially for Syrah, reaching optimal ripeness and character development. This wine has beautiful aromas and flavors of blackberry, vanilla and coffee, complemented by velvety tannins, and a long, spicy finish. Enjoy now or cellar for 5-7 years. Only 125 cases produced.

Recommended drinking period: Through 2025.

Food pairing suggestion:
Grilled Pork Tenderloin

2015 Malbec

A common component in Bordeaux blends, and made famous in Argentina, Malbec grows wonderfully in the hot, aried Wahluke Slope. This wine showcases the deep color, dark fruit and lush tannin characteristics of this varietal. Aromas of flavors of black cherry and blackberry permeate the attack and mid-palate, while sweet oak and vanilla undertones lead you through the long, silky finish. Only 148 cases produced.

Recommended drinking period: Through 2023.

Food pairing suggestion:
Grilled Skirt Steak with Chimichurri Sauce

2017 Dry Rosé (in Cask Club allocations only)

Touriga Nacional originates in Portugal and is noted for its use in the production of port, but is rarely featured as a rosé. Due to the scarcity of this varietal in Washington state, this is a one-of-a-kind wine. The grapes were hand-picked early and pressed gently with minimal skin contact. The result is a light-bodied rosé with notes of strawberry, cherry, grapefruit and minerals highlighted by crisp acidity. Only 168 cases produced.

Recommended drinking period: Through 2017.

Food pairing suggestion:
Triple-Decker Baked Italian Cheese Sandwich
